Since arriving on this puny exciting young planet we have learned that it’s expected that all monkeys will go on a Summer Holiday. Not wanting to blow our cover, we decided we should join in with this bizarre custom. Our research showed that there was a great concentration of trees and furry animals in the south of the country and so we booked accomodation in a hotel in The New Forest. Not wanting us to look like cheapskates or chavs the Professor did try to locate The Old Forest where we could mingle with upper class toffs and men in funny trousers, but alas, it was not to be.
We arrived at the hotel a little early and our room wasn’t ready, so we retired to the lounge and relaxed on their comically oversized chairs.
My room was luxurious beyond all monkey measure! TWO HAMMOCKS AND A SLIDE! I was understandably all of a flutter, trying out the facilities and getting myself comfy.
The slide was a little hot under my bum so I couldn’t play for long, but it got all the travel creases out of my cape!
I decided that the tassles were a little ostentatious for sleeping in, and so I settled on the simpler option.
Then it was time to attend to the important business of reporting back to the planet Donkey! Monkey! High Council.
